Design Philosophy

The ADA Design Philosophy is the most significant factor that separates us from most design/architectural firms. Instead of beginning the design process by asking, “How is this going to look?”, or “How is it going to be built?”, ADA begins by asking, “How is this office going to function for the doctor, staff, and patients?”. Flow, time and motion, materials, esthetics, and budget all come in to play when looking at the design from this point of view.

It is important to us to provide our clients with what they desire in all areas of the design project. By listening closely we are able to incorporate the big and little things that create the office our clients want to achieve. We also realize what our clients “want” may not be what they “need.” Therefore, we believe that it is our responsibility to provide our clients with our insights and opinions before final key decisions are made that can affect the quality of the final product. However, we are not so inflexible that we will not provide what the client wants, even if we think there is a better choice as long as we have properly informed them. Ultimately, it is the client’s decision unless a client’s choice violates a safety or code requirement.
